After giving some serious thought on the places I wish and can afford to visit this year, I came to a conclusion about the below mentioned places-
1) Gangtok (Sikkim) –
I Always wanted to visit this place but could never go. This year I am definitely going there. I have decided the days of my travel and have fixed a friend with whom I am gonna go and the only thing is the actual planning like booking flight tickets, hotel and getting leaves approved. Just in case this trip gets cancelled then I have a PLAN B of going for a trek in the mountains.
2) Amritsar (Punjab) –
This will be a weekend getaway and planning to take my mom along as poor soul, she traveled too little due to her job. I am planning to visit the most famous Golden temple, wagah border and enjoy some of the famous Amritsari fish.
3) Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) –
This again will be a small vacation, mostly about 4 days including weekends.
4) Jaipur (Rajasthan) –
This is a cheat one actually. I have lived in Jaipur for a long time and have a sister studying in the same college as mine. Mostly I want to visit her and do a small pending work but will definitely get to see new and changed Jaipur after all. And why should I savor the mava kachori and the famous kullad lassi once more. If time permits then why not one more trip of Amer fort.
5) Pondicherry (Tamil Nadu)
–My long vacation. I have finally decided to give it a green flag this year. I have been planning this for quiet sometime and it always gets cancelled due to some or other friend cancelling it. This time no matter what, I am going there. Planning to go scuba diving there. Dos any one have any idea about this? Need help in planning.
6) Bali (Indonesia)
– This is a blue chip plan. I am not sure if I will be able to save money for this one or not but I am dying to celebrate new year in Bali.
These are some of the paces I can think of going this year. There are many more I would love to visit and hence I will be open about more travel options and if it is feasible then I am on it.
Isn’t Goa on your list?
I have been to GOA. It was beautiful.
